Having recently released in an“Aunt Pearl” colorwaythat honors his aunt, theNike KD 16has now also dropped in a fresh “Wanda” color scheme inspired by his mother.
Aptly dubbed the Nike KD 16 “Wanda”, the pair features clean mint foam, metallic silver, emerald rise, stadium green, pure platinum, and smoke grey hues throughout as a nod to Wanda Durant’s favorite colors. Mint green is predominately spotlighted, while jewelry-inspired patterns elevate the tongue and lining. Further nodding to his mom, Kevin’s signature “KD” insignia has been replaced with a “WD”. Lastly, silver accents arrive on the Swooshes, piping, sockliner logo, and “EASY” heel badge.
In terms of construction, the Nike KD 16 features a mesh upper with synthetic mudguards, a TPU-caging system, and ventilation on both the medial and lateral sides. Down below is a Zoom Air-equipped midsole.
