Following suit of the previous years, MJ’s next shoe will be inspired by the Air Jordan 8, which is also celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year.

The model will use X-Plate technology, inspired by Michael Jordan’s footwork on the court. Connecting to the Air Jordan 8, the X-Plate is a nod to the straps on the model. As for the upper, it comes constructed with backless embroidery and acts as a canvas, highlighting Michael Jordan’s performance in the 1993 championship series. Each pair is equipped with a radial herringbone traction pattern and full-length Zoom Strobel unit.

One of the standout features is the model is the most sustainably made Air Jordan signature shoe in Jordan Brand history, made of at least 20 percent recycled material by weight.

We have Air Jordan 38 information on three upcoming colorways. One pair will feature a Light Marine, Astronomy Blue, and Royal Pulse color theme, while the second comes in White, Black, University Red, and Metallic Gold. The third pair appears to be inspired by the ‘Playoff’ Air Jordan 8 and ‘Aqua’ Air Jordan 8 and features a Black, True Red, Bright Concord, and Aquatone color combination.

Air Jordan 38 Release Dates

You can expect the Air Jordan 38 to release at select retailers and Nike.com starting August 18th in the ‘Fundamental’ colorway. The ‘FIBA’ iteration will drop on September 7th and the ‘Center Star’ will be available on September 25h. The retail price for adult sizing is $200, while grade school sizing will cost you $140.
